Pequeno Príncipe wins 2022 Climate Challenge Award

Among the 50 awarded organizations, only seven are Brazilian. Hospital was recognized in the Climate Resilience category

Pequeno Príncipe stood out in the 2022 Climate Challenge Award, in the Climate Resilience category. The recognition considers the performance and contributions arising from the engagement and activities developed during the year 2022 in favor of the climate. The global award had the participation of 15 countries, with 50 awarded organizations – seven of which are Brazilian.

Another achievement was the Friend of the Environment Award, which Pequeno Príncipe received for the fourth consecutive year. The Hospital was acknowledged by its Energy Efficiency Program and the Reduction of Carbon Dioxide Emissions. These initiatives seek to reduce and offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, substantially increase the share of renewable energies, and propose measures to adapt to climate change, based on biodiversity conservation.

“Pequeno Príncipe believes that health needs to be taken care of in its entirety, starting with preventive actions that go beyond the walls of the institution and even involve this attentive look at the environment. This concern with sustainability and the conscious use of natural resources is based on the conviction that a healthy common space is fundamental for people to be healthy today and in the future,” says the corporate director of the Pequeno Príncipe Complex, José Álvaro da Silva Carneiro.
