Pequeno Príncipe brings children’s health information to the Paraná beach coast
Initiative aims to raise awareness about summer care and encourage donations to the Hospital

Pequeno Príncipe Hospital and the Government of the State of Paraná have joined forces to promote awareness, health, and solidarity on the Paraná beach coast this summer through the Verão Maior Paraná initiative. Throughout the season, which lasts until March 12, the video screens at the sports arenas on the beaches of Guaratuba and Matinhos will display videos on children’s health. Additionally, the initiative encourages solidarity by promoting the Hospital’s donation channel to beachgoers. In 2024, the philanthropic institution allocated 74% of its capacity to treat Brazilian Public Health System patients.
The content produced by Pequeno Príncipe Hospital features experts in their fields discussing the importance of sunscreen and repellents, how to apply them correctly, common summer viruses and how to prevent them, food tips for the hotter period, the importance of family bonds, and the opportunity for sports practice to strengthen those bonds.
Ety Cristina Forte Carneiro, executive director of Pequeno Príncipe Hospital, explained that the goal is to reach children and families to ensure that health is not neglected even during fun moments. “We are talking about healthcare and, most importantly, how to enjoy this time without screens, outdoors, in nature, so the family can have great moments of connection,” she clarified.

She also celebrated another partnership with the State Government of Paraná. “Congratulations to the State Government for having the perception of the importance of extending care to health with a preventive and comprehensive view. And thank you for this wonderful opportunity to be together, taking better care.”
Encouraging donations
In addition to raising awareness about essential summer healthcare, the initiative also promotes solidarity. Each audiovisual piece includes a QR code that leads to more content produced by Pequeno Príncipe and to encourage donations to the Hospital.
“I want to speak as a mother of three children who has greatly benefited from Pequeno Príncipe and knows how important it is not only for children and adolescents but also for the family. It’s an honor and great pride to formalize this partnership to give visibility to the incredible work done by the Hospital, which is of great importance not only for our state but is also an international reference,” said the first lady of Paraná, Luciana Saito Massa.
