An evening marked by emotion and a touch of solidarity to celebrate the health and lives of children and adolescents from all over Brazil who are assisted by Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe. This was the 15th edition of the Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe Gala, held on September 30th at Casa Bisutti, in S\u00e3o Paulo. With 300 people in attendance, the event surpassed its fundraising goal, reaching US$ 520,000. 70% of the funds will be dedicated to the institution\u2019s research activities. The remaining 30% will be invested in Futurin \u2013 Funds for Life, an endowment fund launched during the Gala with the goal of perpetuating the institution\u2019s mission<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo child deserves to be forgotten. On our planet Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe, we have an extraordinary team. But achieving results such as being one of the best hospitals in the world is a huge daily challenge, which we only achieve because we have the support of people who believe, who provide resources, make investments and give us strength and hope,\u201d highlighted the executive director of Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe Hospital, Ety Cristina Forte Carneiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening was led with great charm by the masters of ceremonies Giovanna Ewbank and Bruno Gagliasso. And the guests were able to taste unique dishes prepared by a dream team of gastronomy. Led by the patron of the Gala, chef Claude Troisgros, chefs Manu Buffara, Rafa Costa e Silva and Felipe Bronze prepared an exquisite and exclusive menu for the dinner, which also featured a Troisgros dish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was also marked by a special moment to recognize great names in philanthropy and science, such as the supporter of the Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe Ana Maria Igel and the couple Jos\u00e9 Luiz Egydio Set\u00fabal and Sandra Mutarelli Set\u00fabal, from the Jos\u00e9 Luiz Egydio Set\u00fabal Foundation and the Pensi Institute \u2013 Research and Teaching in Child Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if this edition of the Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe Gala was a success, it is largely due to the tireless work of philanthropic supporters Daniele Giacomazzi Behring and Amalia Spinardi Thompson Motta, as well as patronesses Many Tigre Elache, Marjorie Geiger Hauser and Sylvia Brasil Coutinho. They mobilized their networks and gathered important supporters in favor of the cause of children and adolescent health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auction and lots of music<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also featured an auction featuring lots of various items, including memorabilia from Pel\u00e9, the King of Football. It was an opportunity for participants to contribute even more to the health, well-being and quality of life of the institution\u2019s patients. The funds raised from the auctioned lots will be used for healthcare and research activities at Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To close the night, participants enjoyed a vibrant concert by Brazilian singer Toni Garrido, in a moment of great music and joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transformed lives<\/strong>
To make tangible the impact that each supporter helps to build daily at Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe, Vanessa Priscila de Oliveira Marques, mother of patient Gael Marques de Oliveira, 7 years old, shared the family\u2019s story with the Hospital, moving everyone.

\u201cAfter four months of investigation, Gael was diagnosed with a benign mass that required only surgical treatment, but was very complex. We managed to take his case to major references in the country, and all I heard was \u2018no\u2019. So we began our journey across Brazil, and in the face of so many negative results and the worst possible prognoses, the only thing I had left was a miracle. And the miracle came in the form of a hospital, Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe, which is a piece of heaven on earth. The professionals at the Hospital are tireless and are always available for the miracle of life,\u201d said Vanessa. \u201cThank you very much, Pequeno Pr\u00edncipe! I am the result of \u2018we will try\u2019\u201d, added the little patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
